Bainbridge College Orientation Test

You must answer all questions correctly to have permission to register at BC. When you have finished, click the Submit My Answers button. If you pass, you'll need to fill in some basic information

If you don't pass, you'll have a chance to review what you missed and take the test again.

So here goes....


  1. What grade do you receive if you drop a class AFTER mid-term
    A. Grade you had when you dropped class
    B. A "WF" (which counts as an "F")
    C. A "W"

  2. Is there ever a time when you can receive a "W" grade AFTER mid-term?
    A. No
    B. Yes, if I petition the Academic Dean for a "W" due to non-academic extenuating circumstances such as illness and produce adequate documentation

  3. How does a student know if a course has a pre-requisite?
    A. An asterisk is listed next to the course on the Schedule of Classes
    B. The list of courses in the back of the college catalog specifies if a course has a pre-requisite.
    C. All of the above.

  4. Can you receive a refund after you have attended class for two weeks and you drop the class but keep other classes?
    A. Yes, based on how many weeks attended
    B. No, refunds are not allowed for drops -- only total withdrawals -- unless you drop the class on the Drop/Add day.

  5. Can you register for a course for which you received an "I" grade?
    A. Only if you want an "F" in the course for which you received the "I"
    B. Yes, the "I" will be changed to the grade you make when you re-register for the class.

  6. You make an "A" in ENGL 1101 (3 hrs credit), a "C" in Spanish I (3 hrs. credit), and a "D" in Tennis(1 hr. Credit) (I never was good in tennis either) -- what is your grade point average?
    A. Beats me (then refer to CGPA section again)

  7. The Academic Standards of Progress that all financial aid recipients MUST MEET is:
    A. Students must receive an A,B,D, or D grade for 50% of all credit courses taken -- ("W" grades count against you since you did not pass the course).
    B. Student must receive an A,B,C, or D grade for 80% of all credit courses taken -- ("W" grades count against you since you did not pass the course).
    C. Students must receive an A,B,C, or D grade for 66% of all credit courses taken -- ("W" grades count against you since you did not pass the course).
