What does this mean to
you???? You must determine how many hours per week you can take classes
and study and then take the number of courses that you can handle
successfully. Take time to determine the pressures on you and register for
courses accordingly. As a rule of thumb, figure three hours of study time
for every hour of class time you have each week.
Also, another critical factor to consider when dropping classes is your financial aid status. If you are on Financial Aid, including HOPE, you must pass 67% of all classes for which you have ever registered or you will lose your financial aid until such time as you HAVE passed 67%. So, the "W" grades you receive when you drop a class (meaning withdrawn passing) count JUST LIKE "F's" as far as financial aid is concerned (a federal policy). The "W's" don't count in your grade point average, but they CAN cause you to lose your financial aid! |
