Schedule Planning and YOUR Program of Study

2 Sooooo, what's the best way to build your schedule? Most people have jobs or personal responsibilities that they have to build their schedule around. So, look at the Schedule of Classes at for the times that are good for you. Grab your catalog Program of Study page and select a well-rounded schedule just for you. Most people like to take ENGL Composition first. Most people DON'T like to take all science courses or all history courses etc. -- so A WELL-ROUNDED SCHEDULE WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF COURSES IS A GOOD IDEA -- just to keep you sane, of course!!!!!

Some students must register "full-time" for health insurance purposes or to receive a full-time Pell grant. Full-time is defined as 12 semester hours or more. BUT, if you plan to finish your two-year degree program in two years and you DON'T want to attend summer terms, you MUST TAKE 15 hours each term plus take your Safety & First Aid course and a physical activity course to complete a 63-hours Associate of Arts degree in two years. Some AAS programs may take even longer. And again, if you have job or family responsibilities, it is okay to take fewer credit hours than the 15.
