Mission Statement

The mission of the Office of Financial Aid is to remove financial barriers to student enrollment and retention at Bainbridge State College. We strive to balance responsible stewardship of all financial aid funds with the creation of a student-centered culture. We seek to provide financial aid services which are accessible, sensitive to student needs and help provide necessary resources to enable students to obtain their educational goals all while following federal and state regulations.

Alan Killingsworth


Alan is a lifelong resident of Bainbridge and is a graduate of Bainbridge High School.  He started his education at Bainbridge State College where he received an AAS degree in Computer Information System and an AA in Political Science.  After graduating from Bainbridge State College, he continued his education at Valdosta State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2013.

Alan has held multiple positions at Bainbridge State College since 2007 including Federal Work-Study, Student Assistant, Academic Peer Mentor, Head Academic Peer Mentor, Admissions Advisor, and he recently began working as a Financial Aid Counselor.

In Alan’s spare time, he is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration at Georgia Southern University.  Alan also enjoys going to concerts and is an avid reader.

Mashone Fleming


Mashone, a life-long native of Troy, Alabama, graduated from Troy State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Adult Education from Troy University.  She comes to Bainbridge State College from Troy University where she worked for the past three and a half years as a Financial Aid Counselor.

She and her husband Jade have been married for 19 years and have a 16-year-old daughter, Anna-Morgan and a 9-year-old son, Owen, that keep them busy. They are currently in the process of relocating to Bainbridge.

Mashone enjoys reading, photography, anything crafty, traveling, watching Auburn and Troy football and spending time with her family.
