Georgia Power presents BSC with rebate check for energy efficiency


Georgia Power is helping Bainbridge State College save money and energy with the company’s Commercial Energy Efficient Program. On Monday, August 25, Georgia Power presented the college with a rebate check for $3,293 for making energy efficiency improvements, which include replacing 37 lights with more efficient LED fixtures. ‘QuickStart’ successful in preparing students for COMPASS

Scotland Study Abroad Program


Interested in going to Scotland to study abroad in May 2015?  An information session will be held today in SWC (room 961) by Dr. Dave Nelson, BSC’s Study Abroad Coordinator.  In addition to Scotland, other programs include China and Costa Rico.  Information sessions for those programs will be held at a later date.  Lots of opportunities for BSC students this year!!

BSC is Tobacco and Smoke-Free as of Sept. 1


By Sept. 1, Bainbridge State College will take up its ash trays and become a tobacco-free campus in accordance with the Tobacco and Smoke-Free Campus Policy passed by the Board of Regents in March of this year. The policy bans all forms of tobacco on all universities and colleges in the University System of Georgia (USG), which include cigarettes, cigars, pipes, all forms of smokeless tobacco, clove cigarettes and any smoking device, such as hookahs and electronic cigarettes. Harrison wins use of Chevrolet Equinox

BSC to host Canola Institute


Bainbridge State College, in partnership with the Development Authority of Bainbridge and Decatur County, will host a Canola Institute on Friday, August 8, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Charles H. Kirbo Regional Center.
