Driver’s ed course can be taken on a smartphone

Bainbridge State College is offering what Georgia’s teenagers could say is a match made in heaven – the ability to use any internet-based device—even a smartphone–to complete a required driver’s education course. Under Georgia’s “Joshua’s Law,” teenagers wanting to get a driver’s license must take 30 hours of driver education. BSC contributes $81 million to southwest Georgia

University System: $14.1 billion impact BAINBRIDGE, Ga. — Bainbridge State College annually makes a positive economic impact on its southwest Georgia service region. That impact was valued at almost $81 million by an annual study for Fiscal Year (FY) 2012, which ran July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012. The college’s impact included an employment impact of 1,024 full-time and part-time jobs: 259 on-campus and 765 off-campus jobs that exist because of institution-related spending. BSC offering free test, assistance

Bainbridge State College and MyFoundationsLab are teaming up to offer free diagnostic tests that will help potential students do well on the COMPASS placement test. Christana Baker of Bainbridge recently passed a certification exam to become a registered medical assistant through the American Medical Technologist agency. Institutions clear path for delineated, affordable agriculture degree

Representatives from the University of Georgia-Tifton and Bainbridge State College on Thursday, June 27, signed three memorandums of understanding that will seismically impact southwest Georgia’s educational needs and its No. 1 industry — agriculture.
