BSC hosting community meeting for nursing program

Bainbridge State College will host a site review for continuing accreditation of its Associate Degree in Nursing (AND) program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Smith retires from BSC after 20 years

Eugene Smith of Bainbridge retires from Bainbridge State College on Dec. 31, 2013, after working as a grounds maintenance worker for 20 years. BSC cosmetology students are realizing their talents – and passions

Whether experimenting with hair color or realizing their flair for doing facials or nails, several Bainbridge State College students enrolled in its cosmetology program are discovering where their aptitudes are, and more importantly, where their passions are. AT&T recently made a generous donation to Bainbridge State College’s Foundation, saying the funds are an important investment for the future of southwest Georgia. BSC student cooks up a feast for extra credit

Bainbridge State College freshman Kayla Wagner decided coordinating a Thanksgiving feast for almost 100 of Bainbridge and Decatur County’s first responders would get her out of a test – and it did. On Friday, Nov. 22, Wagner’s extra credit project fed 65 members of the Bainbridge Public Safety Department, the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office and Jail, the Decatur County Fire Department and the Emergency Medical Services a Thanksgiving feast at First Baptist Church’s fellowship hall.
