Stewart named dean of BSC’s School of Arts and Sciences

Bainbridge State College recently named Dr. Michael Stewart as dean of its School of Arts and Sciences after a nationwide search. Agreement gives access to students pursuing education degrees

Starting this fall, Bainbridge State College students majoring in education will be able to continue their baccalaureate studies with Thomas University, but take their classes at Bainbridge State on Saturdays. On Thursday, June 13, Bainbridge State President Richard Carvajal and Thomas University President Gary Bonvillian signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will allow Bainbridge State Associate of Arts graduates wishing to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education to do so seamlessly with Thomas University. BSC Receives Funding for Innovative Project Proposals

Bainbridge State College has been awarded funds from a competitive program in the University System of Georgia (USG) focused on innovative practices designed to increase student success and college completion. Bainbridge State was the only USG institution to receive funding for both of its submitted projects. Kathleen Ketterer was recently named dean of Bainbridge State College’s School of Health Sciences and Professional Studies.
