Communications and Development
This department manages the planning of the college's development and communication programs.
- Implements the college's strategic plan with respect to fundraising and public information initiatives.
- Manages all aspects of fundraising at the college including the annual fund drive, major gifts, planned giving, online giving, corporate giving-internal and external.
- Manages, coordinates, and implements comprehensive college relations and advertising programs.
- Maintains relations with the College Foundation and college Alumni Association.
- Manages the design, quality control, preparation, and distribution of specific college publications, including the college catalog and the college newsletter.
- Maintains a good working relationship with institutions, media personnel, legislators, and corporate leaders.
- Manages special events.
- Identifies and proposes grant opportunities.
- Advises department, division, and cost center unit heads on media relations, crisis communications, publications, printing, and advertising concerns.
- Develops and maintains crisis communication plans.
