The School of Health Sciences and Professional Studies (HSPS) division of ABAC at Bainbridge strives for excellence in meeting the needs of our regional industries. Our goal is to provide a highly qualified and diverse workforce that will enable southwest Georgia, North Florida, and Southeastern Alabama to become a strong competitor in the recruitment of future industries, while exceeding the expectations of our existing business partners. We offer over 50 different programs of study resulting in technical certificates of credit (TCC’s), diplomas, associates of science (AS), and associates of applied science (AAS) degrees.
Mission Statement for the School of Health Sciences and Professional Studies
The ABAC at Bainbridge of Health Sciences and Professional Studies (HSPS) provides quality nursing, health sciences, technical, and professional and educational opportunities which prepare students for success in the community and create a more educated workforce.
Health Sciences and Professional Studies (HSPS) houses the disciplines of nursing, allied health, and technical and professional programs. HSPS offers more than 60 programs that prepare students for a lasting career in their desired field of study. HSPS programs result in students earning and associates of science degrees, associates of applied science degrees, diplomas, or technical certificates of credit. Emphasis is placed on work ethics, which are an important component of success in the workplace and in our programs.
Health Sciences and Professional Studies (HSPS) faculty are experienced professionals with outstanding academic credentials. They bring real world experience into the classroom, providing our students many opportunities to see what will be expected of them when they continue in their career.
Course Delivery Methods
Courses are offered in several convenient formats to help students achieve their educational goals. These are traditional in-class, hybrid (combination of traditional and web based training), and web based courses. Traditional and hybrid courses are offered Monday through Thursday in the morning, afternoon, and evenings.
Health Sciences and Professional Studies (HSPS) administration consists of a Dean of HSPS, Chair of the Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) program, and a Chair of Practical Nursing (PN) and Allied Health Programs.
