International Education Week is an annual celebration of international education, including study abroad, student exchanges, national cultures, and the impact of these on the United States.  International Education Week has been held annually in November, since the 1990s, as a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. Its goal is to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.

Here at BSC, we use this week as an opportunity to promote our own international programs, such as study abroad, the Model UN, and the new Global Scholars program.  We also showcase Our own international influences from faculty, students and the community. Each year, programs are built around a unifying theme or nation, Past themes have been Brazil, Scotland, China, Japan and Belize.
