The First Year Experience (FYE) program at Bainbridge State College (BSC) is a program designed to enrich and support student success. All newly enrolled students are required to take the course and undergo a diverse range of topics that uncover the many resources necessary for being a successful student at BSC.
The FYE 1102 course is designed to help students successfully navigate a successful transition into the college experience, both academically and personally. The course enhances student success, fosters a sense of belonging, and promotes student engagement. Students are introduced to lifelong learning skills. Special attention is given to the basics of academic life: academic demands, student resources, student responsibility, learning styles, time management, study skills, test-taking strategies, career choice, wellness, diversity, along with BSC policies and procedures.
