Bainbridge State College is pleased to announce Barry Smith of Bainbridge as its 2016 Outstanding Graduate.

Smith, originally of New Jersey, relocated to Lake Seminole as a child and has worked full time while attending Bainbridge State College. He first worked as a custodian on the night shift at Bainbridge State College and then as an employee with the Department of Plant & Operations.

While a full time employee, Smith maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA. One faculty member at BSC stated that Smith is an excellent student showing determination, hard work and persistence. Other faculty members have said he is a “leader in the classroom” and he possesses a “great deal of natural talent as a writer and is a model students and committed to learning and improving. He is also willing to go above and beyond in his academic pursuits.”

On behalf of Bainbridge State College, Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs, Dr. Rodney Carr, presented Barry Smith with the Outstanding Graduate medallion.
