Georgia Power is helping Bainbridge State College save money and energy with the company’s Commercial Energy Efficient Program.

On Monday, August 25, Georgia Power presented the college with a rebate check for $3,293 for making energy efficiency improvements, which include replacing 37 lights with more efficient LED fixtures. The upgrades will result in an average savings of $4,800 for the college.

“Our customers look to Georgia Power for energy savings advice,” said Blake Flowers, Georgia Power’s Key Account Manager. “Georgia Power is in the business of providing our customers with smart choices on energy efficiency, which ultimately helps them identify ways to save money and lower their overall costs.”

Dr. Richard Carvajal, BSC President, accepted the check on behalf of the college.

He said, “We are truly grateful to Georgia Power’s commitment to Bainbridge State College and to the ongoing success of our students.”

Georgia Power’s Commercial Energy Efficiency program offers business customers a portfolio of energy efficiency programs to help them save money, use energy efficiently and help the environment.

Joe Truhett, Georgia Power Area Manager, said, “The program is about being a good corporate citizen. It shows we are being a citizen where we serve.”
